82nd Abn Division

  Robert Eugene Hollenbeck entered Army service from Fort
  Leavenworth, Kansas on June 12th 1943. Private First Class
  Hollenbeck earned his Combat Infantryman Badge making a combat
  jump into Holland on September 17th 1944. He served with the 82nd
  Airborne Division's Honor Guard in Berlin after the war ended. He sailed home from Europe on the Queen Mary arriving in New York City January 3rd 1946. Eugene marched in the 82nd Airborne Division's Ticker Tape Parade down 5th Avenue on January 12th 1946. He was discharged on January 18th 1946.
