The following 7 page account appeared in a book by Robert Murphy of A Company. It describes the June 6,1944 D-Day battle for the La Fiere
causeway
in Normandy, France. It was written by the 505 Parachute Infantry Regiment's A Company Commander,
Lt. John J. Dolan.
