Harry J. Sellers hailed from Lancaster, Pennsylvania. He enlisted into the Army on April 22nd 1942 from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Immediately upon completion of his basic training and jump school in August 1942, he became an original member of Headquarters Company, 3rd Battalion, of the 505th Parachute Infantry Regiment. He participated in all of the 82nd Airborne Divisions campaigns, Sicily, Italy, Normandy, Holland, the Ardennes and Germany. Harry was wounded and reported missing during the jump into Normandy, France. He earned the Bronze Star and Purple Heart medals while overseas. Harry was honorably discharged October 7, 1945.
